In collaboration with Soton Astrodome I used some of their old acetate star maps (from @esoastronomy I think) to make double exposure cyanotypes about space & memory.
I used 30 star maps to make a star.
Would LOVE to carry on this theme but I used all the sheets I have.
Any #astronomer out there (hello @astroroyalscot.bsky.social )know of acetate star maps that could be donated?
I can donate some of the art in return.

Subaru Telescope and Blackbird Observatory image of Arp 189, also known as NGC 4651 or the Umbrella Galaxy.
The galaxy gets its nickname from the parasol-shaped feature to the left. It is a stellar stream made of debris from a tiny galaxy, only a fiftieth its size, that was shredded apart by gravity as it fell into its larger companion.
