Hundreds of these tubes 3 feet (.91 meters) in diameter, up to 70 feet (21.3 meters) long had been sent to Mare Island for refurbishment. This photo shows some that have been cleaned, sanded, and re-coated. The coatings are in many colors, green, yellow, brown, pink, red. These happen to be white.
