Après deux mois d'utilisation du boîtier #Argon Neo 5 sur une #raspberrypi 5 faisant office de media center avec #kodi et serveur local d'applications web, je suis plutôt satisfait :

* boîtier sobre et élégant (bon ca c'est fonction des goûts et des couleurs)
* Surtout il est extrêmement silencieux et efficace dans le refroidissement - je devais garder le capot ouvert avec le boîtier d'origine pour le même usage.

Le boîtier #Argon NEO 5 maintient une température au repos (~ 45 °C) bien inférieure à celle du boîtier d'origine (~ 55 °C), alors même que je gardais le capot ouvert 😄

À voir ce soir en « usage standard », à savoir media center avec #Kodi si cette baisse de température se maintient (avec l'ancien boîtier, ça montait à près de 70 °C).

Gonna play around with Chimera Linux on a Raspberry Pi 5, 8GB toninght.

Because the Argon One V5 (NVME) case is a pain in the rare* I'll just put the image on a USB SSD.

things to test:
- convert installation to btrfs with seperate SWAP partition
- activate Zswap
- run KDE
- see if bluetooth Keyboard & Mosue work
- see if printer and scanner work

*the case blocks access to the SD Card slot

Ach verdammt nochmal!…momentan kommt aber auch alles wieder auf einmal zusammen. Dafür hab ich doch keine Zeit. Einer meiner #raspberrypi 4 Server ist heute 4 Mal ausgefallen. Und ich hab keine Zeit gehabt mir das anzuschauen. Nun ist der erstmal aus.

Beim flüchtigen drüber schauen hatte ich gesehen, dass der Homeassistant Container auf 100% CPU lief, Load war schon auf 127, also keine Reaktion mehr und das Gehäuse (#argon one M.2 nvme) wurde ziemlich heiß. 🔥

Morgen mal schauen… 😑
