Activity Winding Down…on Anvil Fire in SW Oregon…SW Area Incident Management Team 1 reported Monday that the Anvil Fire was 22.170 acres…containment of 60%...Transfer of command from SW Team 1 to NW Team 12 will occur this morning.

Meanwhile, the Flat Fire remains at 34,242 acres with increased containment of 93%. Excavators finished repair on the N half of the fire near Agness over the weekend…

It appears the #AnvilFire in the Grassy Knob Wilderness east of Port Orford Blew up last night. This is old and late successional growth timber
