Berichte über Terroranschläge versetzen immer wieder die Bürgerinnen und Bürger in Angst und Schrecken. Die Antwort der Politik folgt allerorts dem gleichen Muster: Stetig weitet die Legislative Gesetze aus, die Überwachungsmaßnahmen in der Gesellschaft regeln. Ob Videoüberwachung, Vorratsdatenspeicherung, automatisierte Analyse durch „KI“ oder die Vorhersage von Straftaten (predictive policing) und die damit einhergehende Verdächtigung Unschuldiger. So sorgte Ende letzten Jahres die Grün-Schwarze Landesregierung Baden-Württembergs für eine Änderung des Polizeigesetzes, um den Einsatz der bereits gekauften Software „Gotham“ der US-Firma Palantir zu legalisieren. In einigen anderen Bundesländern sieht es ähnlich aus. Diese Software erlaubt es, weltweit riesige Mengen an Personen-Daten für Überwachungs- und Ermittlungszwecke zu bündeln, automatisiert auszuwerten und darzustellen. Im krassen Widerspruch zur Ausweitung von Überwachungsmaßnahmen steht, dass in den Polizeistatistiken bei uns oft ein Rückgang von Straftaten dokumentiert ist.
Warum wir uns in Deutschland so Schritt für Schritt auf gefährliches Terrain begeben – alle Bürgerinnen und Bürger gläsern und unter Generalverdacht gestellt – wird im Vortrag dargelegt. Es wird ein Blick auf die Produzenten der Technologie und den Tech-Sektor insgesamt geworfen und die Hintermänner des Trump-Regimes beleuchtet. Ihre offen zur Schau getragene menschenfeindliche Ideologie und oft abstrusen Ziele werden aufgezeigt. Wir schauen nicht nur auf ihren langen Arm, den sie bereits nach Europa ausstrecken, sondern wollen herausfinden, was man dagegen tun kann. Hierfür sind NaN vom Chaostreff Tübingen sowie der Politikwissenschaftler Christopher Coenen bei uns zu Gast. Nach kurzen Impulsvorträgen der beiden, kannst du deine Fragen im Q&A loswerden und im Anschluss gemeinsam mit dem Publikum diskutieren. i came into it that way, but i also spent time in activism/organizing, read classic literature and modern zines, familiarized myself with the current milieu, etc.

"This past summer, I watched most of Studio Ghibli’s films. The studio or it’s main creative force, #HayaoMiyazaki, are often mentioned as major influences on the solarpunk genre. It’s not a coincidence that one of their composers did the music for the solarpunk-inspired yogurt ad. Despite how connected Studio Ghibli seems to be to solarpunk, I found that only two of their 20+ movies have substantial solarpunk imagery or worldbuilding. Even so, it’s clear that these films were highly influential even if they’re weren’t solarpunk films. The influence comes from Studio Ghibli’s constant themes of environmentalism, humanism, community, anti-authoritarianism, and pacifism."
