Any opinions on good intro books for Linux? Looking at the "for Dummies" and "Linux for Novices", wondering what people think and would recommend.

Friend dropped & broke the screen of her #macbookpro.
She had a 2017 Dell Latitude 5480. After installing #ubuntujammy and one of the many Gnome #MacOS themes, relevent desktop apps (#libreoffce #gimp, etc) she migrated her files.
"Runs great, seems faster?" "Looks just like my Mac." "All the files open!" "This is all free?" "What else can I get?"
Cost savings: $1,300 (new MacBook) + $300 (data transfer). Escaping vendor lock-in (hardware, software, support): priceless.
