Hat sich bestätigt, der Zug, aus dem ein Bahnmitarbeiter nahe #Karlsruhe während der Fahrt aus dem Zug gefallen, ist ein #Alstom Coradia Continental Baureihe 1440 gewesen. Ein Zugtyp der in Deutschland gar nicht selten im Regionalverkehr eingesetzt wird.
Hoffentlich gehen die Ermittlungen zu dem gewaltsamen Unfall schnell.

🚈🇦🇺 #Alstom has introduced the first of 100 Next Generation G Class trams into passenger service in #Melbourne under a €700 million contract awarded in 2022. Based on the Flexity 2 platform, the trams are built at Alstom's Dandenong factory with more than 65% local content and supported by a new maintenance facility in #Maidstone. The programme has supported more than 2,000 jobs and included a A$40 million investment to expand local manufacturing. Developed with input from more than 1,000 stakeholders, including disability groups, drivers and passenger representatives, the trams feature step-free access, regenerative braking, wider aisles, more doors and capacity for over 150 passengers. The fleet will be introduced in stages across Melbourne's tram network, improving accessibility, capacity and passenger comfort.

So so., Regelbetrieb ...Getreu dem Motto: Vorwärts immer, rückwärts nimmer. Das Gefährt ohne Ticketautomaten hat zwar zwei Führerstände, kann (wg. angeblichen Softwareproblemen hörte ich) nur in eine Richtung fahren und deswegen nur auf Linien mit Wendeschleife eingesetzt werden.

Auf Bebilderungen zu dem gewaltsamen Vorfall im #Regionalzug zwischen #Offenburg und #Karlsruhe, bei dem ein Bahnmitarbeiter anscheinend gegen ein Tür gestoßen wurde, sodass diese nachgab, der Mitarbeiter während der Fahrt ins frei geschleudert wurde und dabei schwer verletzt wurde, auf diesen Bebilderungen in der Presse sieht man meist den 1440 191, einen #Alstom Coradia Continental.
Ist das nur ein vielgenutzes Pressebild oder war der Vorfall in dem Fahrzeug? -

🇧🇷 #Alstom has marked the start of passenger services on the first section of São Paulo’s Line 6-Orange #metro, with trains built at its Taubaté factory. The company has delivered 12 of the 22 six-car #Metropolis trains ordered, with the remainder to follow. The project has supported around 5,000 jobs and involved more than 120 #Brazilian suppliers. The 15.3km line will eventually link Brasilândia and São Joaquim via 15 stations, cutting end-to-end journey times from up to 90 minutes by bus to about 23 minutes and serving an estimated 633,000 passengers a day. Each train can carry up to 2,044 passengers, reach 80km/h and features stainless steel construction, accessibility improvements and energy-efficient #technology. The line is expected to improve access to education, employment and services while supporting more sustainable urban #transport.

🇵🇹 #Alstom has broken ground on a new rail manufacturing site in Matosinhos, near Porto, strengthening its long-term presence in Portugal as part of its contract to supply 153 commuter and regional trains for Comboios de #Portugal. The 20,000 sq m facility is expected to create around 300 direct jobs and more than 1,000 indirect jobs, with 81 #trains to be built in Portugal. The investment is intended to boost local rail manufacturing, strengthen supply chains and support the country's role in Alstom's European production network. The new trains will carry up to 450 passengers and feature step-free access, Wi-Fi, wheelchair and cycle spaces, while being more than 95% recyclable. Alstom has operated in Portugal for more than 30 years.

#Alstom has opened a new Work & Wellbeing Suite at its Litchurch Lane Works in Derby, aimed at supporting the physical, mental, social and financial wellbeing of employees. Launched during the company’s Wellbeing Week, the facility includes a new and expectant mother room, multifaith prayer room, dark room, stretching room, quiet zones and space for group activities.
Developed by the Derby Wellbeing Champions, the suite provides access to wellbeing resources and specialist support. Its opening coincided with a Health and Wellbeing Roadshow featuring internal teams and external organisations, including Baton of Hope.
Alstom said the initiative reflects its commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. Similar facilities are planned for its sites in Wolverhampton and Plymouth, with the potential for wider rollout across its #UK and #Ireland network.

#Alstom has reaffirmed its commitment to the #UK rail supply chain after spending more than £720 million with nearly 1,300 British suppliers over the past year, supporting around 11,000 jobs. Speaking at the company’s Supplier Day and CSR Awards in Derby, Alstom outlined plans to strengthen collaboration with suppliers through long-term agreements, strategic sourcing and innovation. Around 90% of its UK spend was with #British #businesses, while 33% went to SMEs. The company also reported that UK suppliers exported around £100 million of goods and services to Alstom operations in 37 countries. More than 200 industry representatives attended the event, which concluded with supplier networking sessions. Alstom also presented nine CSR Awards recognising suppliers for achievements in economic growth, health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, and climate action.

Der neue TGV-M hat deutlich mehr Sitzplätze als seine Vorgänger. 3,7 Sitze pro Meter schafft die SNCF. Aber warum? Ich hab' Alstom gefragt und es liegt nicht daran, dass Platz eingespart wurde. Der Eurostar Celestia wird übrigens auch mehr Platz deswegen haben. Die 3-Klassen-Konfiguration wird noch spannend.
Edit: Aufgrund eines Fehlers musste ich den Artikel korrigieren. Es sind 600 Sitze in der Inoui-Konfiguration. Ouigo: 740.

Located along the Middle Corridor, a crucial trade route linking #China and #Europe, the facility is part of a broader €50 million regional investment programme by the sustainable mobility firm.
The Arys hub will maintain electric locomotives built for national operator Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, handling up to 120 locomotive sections monthly. This #infrastructure is expected to boost fleet availability to 97%, improving both domestic and international rail efficiency.
The project forms part of a 2023 agreement with the #Kazakh government, which includes three other depots in Shu, #Astana and #Almaty. Nationwide, the initiative will create around 700 jobs. Im #EC64 #EuroCity von #Domodossola nach #Brig habe ich dank 1. Klasse Upgrade einen pragmatischen Türplatz ergattert. So bin ich als Premium Kunde als erster auf dem Bahnsteig.
Ausserdem erlaube ich mir einen Hinweis an meinen Schweizer Marktbegleiter: die #Klimaanlage im #Alstom #ETR610 funktioniert sehr viel besser als die im striegelnagelneuen Centopups.
