  2. There's a lot of good stuff on this new Alabama Shakes album, but I'm especially loving the slower, kind of lilting tunes. Howard's voice and approach is just made for them.

    "Garden" has a throwback r&b sound and Howard is sounding very Prince-ly on it, to my ears. It's lovely.

    (I could hear this in Prince's voice and I even hear a Prince-ly turn in the writing... makes me miss him. Wonder if he got a chance to do anything w/Howard or not, they'd have paired beautifully.)
