I'd want to do much closer reading on the pros and cons of various P2P protocols and their substrates, before I'd recommend a change of protocol. For anyone who having a go at a Cashless-style, distributed clearinghouse app, or for a project like Ahau.
Although given Ahau is storing genealogical records, and erroneous data may need to corrected, and netsplits could be catastrophic, I certainly wouldn't advise someone starting a project like Ahau today to use SSB.

Well, the Wikipedia deletionists have wiped out the article on Ahau;

A while back I created an article for ahau.io;

I thought software created by indigenous people for their own specific needs was notable enough, but it seems the deletionists disagree. Does anyone know of any references that could be added to this article, that would meet the usual Wikipedia standards for reliable sources? News articles, academic papers and the like.

I was shocked to discovered that the pioneering Ahau.io project didn't have a Wikipedia article, so as an act of solidarity with tangata whenua and the data sovereignty activism that Ahau is an expression of, I just started one;

I'm helping #manyverse (and #ahau) with a private-groups feature for #ssb.
It just dawned on me today I'm the only non-STEM in a group of STEM volunteers.
After some frantic "you're not listening to me", I remember this article exists and what a godsend it is.

@humberto @bhaugen wow thanks, #ahau looks really interesting. I just came out of a 4-hour workshop on #CARE-principles and wish I'd known about it before. I looked around for the code and found it at https://github.com/Ahau-NZ/Ahau . But as it seems to be dependent on a single company. Could using any SSB-client be an exit-strategy in case the app isn't supported anymore?
