There’s more than a fair bit of #AgeBasedSegmentation in #tech and #marketing. So-called “generations” like #GenX and #DigitalNatives. #SocialConstructs built on shaky grounds to ease out the work of pushing products and services onto people. Reinforcing #Essentialism. “Boxing in” people. Often #othering.
Of course, there’s a whole lot to be said about shared experiences. It’s just that the limits of #CommunitiesOfExperience come from #NegotiatedIdentity.
