Conservatives really hate it when people fuck with the safe zones of their social constructs, crossing lines, blurring them, and sometimes entirely erasing them. That scares the hell out of conservatives. This is as vexing as perplexing, because the only “monsters” troubling them are those their own ignorance and fears have conjured.

There’s more than a fair bit of #AgeBasedSegmentation in #tech and #marketing. So-called “generations” like #GenX and #DigitalNatives. #SocialConstructs built on shaky grounds to ease out the work of pushing products and services onto people. Reinforcing #Essentialism. “Boxing in” people. Often #othering.
Of course, there’s a whole lot to be said about shared experiences. It’s just that the limits of #CommunitiesOfExperience come from #NegotiatedIdentity.
