#aeropex — Public Fediverse posts

My #aeropex sport bone conduction earphones failed after 4.5 years (120 ukp). Not bad I guess. they were superb for walking/exercising & keeping aware of surroundings. So light.

Wondering whether it's worth trying a cheaper brand/aliexpress version these days.

Anyone tried?

Managed to #repair an annoying rattle in my old #Aeropex (a common problem with the older models apparently) using a small hand-drill & some #Sugru, prolonging their life & saving them from becoming #ewaste. Sound & microphone are working fine after the #fix & I'm feeling proud of having saved myself approx. €130 (the difference between the cost of the repair kit vs a new pair of headphones).

@alecmcint Würde so aus der Hüfte geschossen die "#Shokz #OpenSwim" nennen. Verwende die #Aftershokz #Aeropex beim Radfahren um die Ohren für den Verkehr frei zu haben. Bin damit sehr zufrieden. Die #OpenComm mit Mikrofonarm sind grundsätzlich auch gut, zicken aber gerne Mal in der Kombination mit #msTeams.
Die OpenSwim sind IPx8 und haben einen Speicher für MP3.

Es gibt auch vergleichbare #Knochenschall Kopfhörer von günstigeren Marken. Die habe ich selbst noch nicht ausprobiert.
