Got into the #retropc stuff to make a #3dfx demo on some old #3dfxvoodoo2 and Athlon X2 3800+ I had still lying around.
Just booted #windowsxp from a SATA SSD and boy is it fast. Imagining the #windows kernel isn’t complete crap, I do not get, how they could f**k up #windows10 and #windows11 so bad.
OK there might be some more essential services running, but we have GPU accelerated rendering, x-time CPU performance and x-hundred times storage transfer speeds, which should offset any new essential features… #windows #3dfx #demoscene #retropc
