    CW: Brits need to write to their MPs ASAP to stop the Online Safety Bill

    It's not safe for a single person living in Britain.

    Incorporating levels of surveillance and censorship found in places like China or Russia, any "beneficial" elements are not worth it for the threat to everyone's privacy and online safety the Bill now poses.

    Meanwhile, in other bits of tech I've used daily in my life going to crud:

    That Duolingo update that everyone's going to be forced to have from Nov 1 is terrible.

    I've had it for a month and it's made my learning experience so much worse, and I say that as someone who has been paying for it.

    I have cancelled my subscription, so it won't be renewing in December. Currently focusing on Babbel and Memrise.
