I had thought going in that #ARSPSG was a coin flip. Both teams are excellent on the press and both are good at passing in tight spaces.
I think PSG are more dangerous because of the quality of their forward players and their vision on the counter. I'd pick them for certain, but I don't have confidence in Donnarumma's consistency. That said, he was excellent today.

On the list of tasks today is to try to color match the paint on our walls. I’m not terribly optimistic.
There is such a disparity of hues just by the amount of ambient light. I can capture the same wall, 10 minutes later and have wholly different results. Same, too, for which section of the wall I capture.

That's 3 draws in their last 4 league games, all against teams that are currently 11th, 12th, and 13th. 😬
I think Arsenal is a really strong team, but they lack something. Is it mentality? Is it too much dependence on Saka?
It was never really going to be all that tight in the run-in, given #LFC's lead and consistency. But even with the pressure off, you'd have to say that Arsenal wilted.

Nketiah might as well still be wearing an Arsenal jersey, as toothless as he's playing.

Bellingham is a bit of a dick, isn't he? So very talented, but he often goes too far. In the last two minutes, there was a throw down out of bounds and the hook on Rice's leg after a bad challenge.

Can't say #AVL didn't have chances to pull off the massive comeback. They will rue both Konsa's missed header and Asensio missing when in alone on goal. Huge save off the line to seal it at the death.
I still say 3 minutes of stoppage time feels match-fixy and I don't have a vested interest.

Fair play to #WHU who were excellent in the second half and really should have left with a point. I was aghast at how easily #LFC continued to allow Kudus and Paqueta so much space. For a press that really worked in the first half, it was a disaster in the second.
None of Slot's subs, omitting Endo, were good and the team mentally came unglued. The goal saved Van Dijk's player rating, because he was surprisingly shaky in the second half. Robbo, sadly, looks finished. Tsimikas was great.

Declan Rice has scored two absolutely stellar free kick goals and, while I would never root for Arsenal, I must admit I'm now hoping he gets another chance. I'd like to see him take another while he's seeing the matrix.

#discworld #kindle books are on sale for $1.99 today. Not sure if world-wide, but definitely in the US.

I'm still at a loss to understand what Ederson was doing in the final five minutes f the match.
And how Real Madrid always manage to claw out of the grave against City.
And whether Ancelotti has made a deal with the devil.

Inexplicably bizarre moments form Ederson. He opens with a brutally poor turnover when trying to play a long ball. He follows that up by the very curious decision to not use his arms and instead chest the ball to make the save. This, of course, gives a meaty rebound. And lastly, rather than get into a ready position, he looks like he's grown roots as Diaz thumps it right past him.
And before I can even finish typing, he charges a breakaway and then STOPS in no man's land.

English officiating. Somehow the AR missed this easy offside decision and there is no VAR. If I were a Leicester City fan, I'd be militant right now.

For a team that was happy to bark at Manchester City on the weekend, Arsenal really showing they can't take it.
Being competitive is great, but winning with grace and losing with dignity shows class. They lack it.

Hell of a finish by Murphy. Had to lunge to reach the ball caroming off the post. A nice one-touch, kept low and on target. How many players sky that over the bar?

The post game punditry is already lauding the Arsenal energy and youth. Sure, that’s not wrong. Arsenal were clearly the better side, but a look at the stats illustrates the real story.
Conceding 5 goals on 1.04 xG tells you far more about the state of Manchester City’s defense and goalkeeping. Ortega is not good. -2.11 goals prevented? 😬
