The Jenny the Witch #Steam #NextFest demo is jank!
I was so excited because It's clearly inspired by #BulletWitch on the Xbox 360 and that's one of my favorite games of all time.
This game ain't it though. LOL. It's heart is in the right place but its controls are not. If they can get the controls and the character rotation sorted this could end up being a solid title but it's not quite there yet.

The #Steam #NextFest demo of Little Nemo and the Guardians of Slumberland Is a nice little platformer.
It's a mashup of Wonder Boy in Monster world and Super Mario Brothers 2.
It's definitely a charming game. Cute graphics and nice music coupled with tried and true platforming gameplay.
It's enjoyable but with so many other games fighting for my time, I don't know that this one demands a playthrough.

The #Steam #NextFest demo of Denshattack is awesome!
With its vibrant color palette, catchy music and stylish graphics. It really reminds me of something that would have been out on the Dreamcast or arcades of the era.
Unfortunately, it's one of those games that has so many controls that I just cannot get to grips with it. I find this becoming more of an issue for me as the years progress.

Just finished the #Replaced #NextFest demo.
This game is my jam! HD2D cyberpunk atmosphere. Awesome soundtrack and some of the most satisfying combat I have played in a long time.
This is definitely going to be a purchase for my #steamdeck.

After playing the #NextFest demo of the #PanzerDragoon Zwei remake I am actually somewhat relieved.
It's decent. Not great. But decent.
I suppose that's as good as I could have hoped.

I would prefer a #PhantasyStar escapipe but this will do I suppose.

A couple of days ago I purchased #Arzette.
It has been a ton of fun. I really enjoy games like this. It's a sort of metroidvania with each level being separate & you can revisit them at any time to unlock other areas once you acquire the appropriate items.
Also, the soundtrack is so good! It reminds me so much of the synth-filled 32-bit era. I feel like this music could have been on a classic Saturn game. I LOVE it so I picked up the bundle with the OST.

I have been looking for a Sylvania #SmartBook for some time & finally got one!
These are such interesting devices. One part 90's H/PC, one part 2000's #PocketPC & thrown into a #NetBook form factor.
It's a strange hybrid device of form and function.
I can't wait to tinker around with this. Since it runs on ARM and #WindowsCE I have heard there are ways to load pocket PC programs on it, though they may be unoptimized.

I didn’t want to go this route for various reasons but it looks like a #VirtualMachine is the only option left for me. It should allow me to manage my #PocketPC #PDA without the need to reboot or switch PCs.
I have never ran a #VM before so it will be a learning process.
What are the recommended vms for running Windows XP on #Linux with USB passthrough?
I hear a lot about VirtualBox. Any others?

Dedicated computer – This is what I’m doing now. I have a #Linux PC and a #Windows PC dedicated to managing my #PocketPC. Its inconvenient, takes up space & I don’t like having things scattered across multiple computers. I need a better solution.
Dual Boot – I won’t use windows 11 & I don’t want to have an old Windows instllation on my main PC. I also don’t want to leave Linux & reboot just to manage my PocketPC. This is a no go.
This currently leaves me at running a Virtual Machine.

Syncing a #PocketPC to #Linux.
It appears that using the old native linux programs (SyncEvolution, etc.) to achieve this is not a realistic goal, if even possible anymore.
Even if this goal were achievable it’s not user friendly. It would also only sync PIM data & would not allow access to the file system of the #PDA for dragging and dropping files to the system memory or SD card. This is a crucial part of managing the device. This is a dead end.
I only see 3 options moving forward…

Okay. I have been at this for several hours & I'm getting far too frustrated.
I am trying to figure out how to sync a #PocketPC to #Linux.
I came across Genesis Sync that is supposed to be a GUI for #SyncEvolution. Its only available as a tar.gz file.
In the file browser, I located & uncompressed the file with the archive manager but what do I do next? It just looks like a bunch of python & system files.
How do I install this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ailing Eileen was fantastic and won silver in freestyle skiing but I can't help but think her name sounds like that of a #GarbagePailKids sticker.
It honestly wouldn't surprise me if that already were one. Ailin' Al Is pretty close! 😂
