Good morning, Mastodon friends! And we continue with the unseasonably warm and sunny weather. In fact, the first time daytime rain is forecast is Saturday -- just in time for the Homecoming football game and little kids trick-or-treating. 😢
The stroopwafels that I included in our grocery order yesterday are good, but not as special a treat as I'd hoped. They are more cinnamon-y than caramel-y. However, my husband and I are glad to have tried something new.

When experts and autistic people disagree about autism, it's not enough to say "let's hear both sides".
Because... whose voice carries more weight already? Whose version is supported by structures and systems?
And who is living it as a personal reality?
So yes. Giving everyone one turn at the microphone doesn't create equality if a) one person's words count a thousand times more, and b) they're not directly living it.
