Sometime before 2007, I wrote this song and got my friend Harry to add drums and guitars and make it sound better. It's one of the first songs I wrote about something I'd read in a science magazine - in this case, the idea of spy cameras so small, they could drift in a cloud of dust, transmitting what they saw back to... wherever.
Somehow that became dusty deserts achieving a sort of semi-sentient longing in the lyrics.

Alex Andrade, R-Pensacola, proposes leaving all faculty hiring to boards of trustees, allowing a faculty member’s tenure to be reviewed “at any time,” and removing majors or minors in subjects like critical race theory and gender studies. It would also prohibit spending on activities that promote diversity, equity and inclusion and create new general education requirements.
