🎷 I aftes var jeg til koncert med Tabloid på Paletten i Viborg.

Tabloid spiller fusions-jazz. En skønsom blanding af jazz, funk og groovy pop med 80’er-vibes. Hvis man kender Mezzoforte, er det lidt i den retning.

Det var en overraskende god oplevelse. Ikke blot er de blændende dygtige. De river omgående publikum med i deres dansable, kulørte lydunivers.

Kæmpe optur. Jeg kom hjem med to LP’er i ren benovelse. Tabloid kan klart anbefales at opleve live.

Found a collection of 30 years of pictures published in the National Enquirer for just 6 dollars. I don't know why I'm so fascinated with the world of old school tabloid reporting, I guess it was just one of the few things constantly reporting on supernatural stuff and true crime stuff that I love even if it was mostly bullshit.

I was disappointed with how few old issues of National Enquirer there are archived on the internet, but IA turns out has tons of old issues of their even more infamous competitor Weekly World News so I've downloaded a bunch of them on my laptop to read before bed.

Really heavily considering buying a whole bunch of 80s and 90s issues of the National Enquirer from an Etsy seller, it is so incredibly hard to be a weirdo like me sometimes. They are a lot cheaper than I'd thought they would be.

I did find some old issues on the Internet Archive to read through though.

Кликбейтные заголовки, давайте признаемся, надоели всем. Сейчас они встречаются даже на Хабре. Программист Линус Ли, судя по всему, испытывал те же чувства и решил действовать по принципу «не можешь победить — доведи до крайности». В результате он создал Tabloid — полноценный язык программирования, где весь код пишется в стиле сенсационных заголовков. Представьте язык, где вместо привычного function hello() вы пишете DISCOVER HOW TO HELLO WITH (англ. «узнайте, как сделать... с помощью»), а вместо return используете SHOCKING DEVELOPMENT! (англ. «шокирующее развитие событий»). А еще каждый листинг должен заканчиваться фразой PLEASE LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE. Звучит как странная шутка? Да, но этот язык реально работает, имеет собственный интерпретатор и позволяет писать полноценные программы. СЕНЬОРЫ СКРЫВАЛИ ЭТОТ ЯЗЫК….

I have an idea for an #RSS reader that will help me stuff all the articles back into a #newspaper format. The guy with his customer dot matrix printer has my brain spinning. I've found projects to parse feeds and pull a list of articles and their content, but it drops photos. And another that can read online newspapers and pull relevant data. But nothing that pulls all today's articles and stuffs them into a #zine of sorts
