I'm told that these are quite popular amongst people who like "smart" thingies. Personally I can't be bothered with them which is why I'd never buy one. Yet here it is in front of me anyway...

I received a "return to sender" parcel from DPD last week containing this watch. But it's not an item I sell. I can't tell from the attached paperwork whether this was being sent out by a retailer, or polar themselves, or whether it was being returned by a customer. In either case, the box is unopened so I don't think it's ever been used.

I contacted DPD immediately, but it's been a week now and there has been no reply. I've also contacted Polar, but I think I should wait a while to see if they reply.

Does anyone here know a Mr Kochs in Neuss, Germany who may be expecting to receive a watch ? He's not a customer of mine and I've not found any contact details other than the name.

And what else has happened here ? DPD appear to have printed a "return to sender" sticker with my name on it, so presumably they think that a parcel of mine has been returned, but perhaps it was sent to someone else. But they've not sent any notification and no customer has told me about a parcel which has gone missing.

I really don't know what is going on with this.

Some of you may remember that in September I received a "returned" parcel which wasn't actually for me. It's a smartwatch which I didn't want and never ordered. I guess many people would have just kept it, but I've been trying to return it to where it came from for nearly four months.

I've sent dozens of emails to Polar to explain what has happened in order to give them their product back.

They sent a link to their standard return webpage several times but this requires you to have an order number. I don't have an order number because I've never ordered from this company. Last week, I finally managed to convince them "to help me to help them" by sending me a return label. I explained that I would be available on Tuesday *morning* for pickup.

Yesterday they eventually sent me a return label which I printed out and stuck to the box. They promised that it would be picked up "between 11:00 and 14:00", which meant I'd need to stay home into the afternoon though I had other things to do. It's just been picked up by #DHL at 15:30. So much for Tuesday.

Trying to be honest and to help Polar get their product back has cost me far too much time and energy over the last four months. I don't think I'd bother doing this again.
