Another of these fabulous etchings by Charles Meryon. The fac simile i have is some 100 years old itself, and uses collotype to reproduce the pictures, with no halftone screen needed. I tried to leave something of the quality of the paper.
This picture shows a gallery, i think at roof level? at the Nôtre Dame. There is a crow flying between the columns.

Our newest exhibition, “A Perfect Model: Prints after Anthony van Dyck’s Portraits,” required some digging through the collection. A print of my more or less completed #etching of #blackness castle. Sometimes referred to as 'the ship that never sailed' because of its ship like shape pointing out into the #forth West of #Edinburgh.
Used #spitbite for the sky and wax for the texture in the foreground sea.
