Maybe I should create a page that lists the Feeds of those creating round ups of various blog posts or content they see. As search engines become more unreliable, and AI is the one surfacing blogs, I have little hope little blogs will still be noticed.
I think the future of the web is the past - webrings, link blogs and weekly blog roundups done by humans.

#EYDC2025 Day 30
Was 2025 a good drama year for you?Yes, it's good! To be honest, it's rare for me to say that [Year] was a "bad drama year". This is mostly because I watch across a wide range of genres. Some years, the xianxia genre is great (this is the case for me this year). Other years, modern dramas were better. When you watch a wide variety of genres, you'll never rum out of good dramas to watch.

#EYDC2025 Day 28
An industry change you want to happenLess reliance on traffic actors. It's actually depressing sometimes how some dramas shoot to the top of the charts purely because of the lead actors' fandom klout. Many of these dramas are poorly made, and the story is "factory assembly line".
For many fandoms as long as their gege wins the data game, they're satisfied. Meanwhile, "passerbys" get turned off by their shenanigans (which often includes "controlling" discussions about the drama by reporting/abusing users who dare to criticise the drama. Many casual viewers no longer trust "reviews" on social media because it's so dominated by fandoms.
But, tbh, this is mostly idol dramas. Non-idol #CDramas are usually not plagued by these problems.
It is actually no wonder that CDramas are experiencing a "winter" now. It's not just because of strict regulations and censorship - it's also because production companies are lazy. As long as these fandoms exist to prop up the show, they don't bother with good storytelling or production quality. Worse, they often give in to the demands of the actors' agencies, so the story is often manipulated or tinkered with to make the idol look better.
Each time I switch from watching an idol drama to one of those that are aired on China's TV, or those not starring traffic actors, the difference in quality is stark! Idol dramas can and should put in the same effort, but there spending too much money spent on marketing and expensive actors, so storytelling and production quality seemed to always take a back seat. Why? Because at the end of the day, whatever product they dish out, the fandoms will be there to spend money.
Yeah, I just want all of this to go away. It's toxic.

I think what surprised me as I learned more about Unit 731 is that the Japanese also experimented on Russians...and that the experiments lasted until 1950!!
