If I'm reading the numbers at https://isaiprofitable.com/ right, every man, woman, child, or other on Earth would have to spend nearly $100 **right now** for the AI bubble to break even.
If we restrict this to the US, that goes to $2250. If we put the burden on the EU that's a bit lower at $1750.
That's right now. In the time that it has taken me to compose this, the bubble rose approximately 7 million dollars.

And a new chop reading ็ฆ ่ถไธๅณ (chรกn chรก yฤซ wรจi, "Zen and Tea are One Flavor").
Just to be clear this is not one of mine. I'm nowhere near good enough to make a chop that looks like this. I get chops for a few reasons:
1. I like them. (Really I think the only reason I need.)
2. Research material as I see how the characters from my seal script dictionary get squished down into the chop form.
3. Did I mention I like them? They're wonderfully decorative. -
Oh look. Another American decided to go shoot up some people Just Becauseโข. This is such a rare event it's completely shocking. I'm sure the government is going to go all-out in preventing more such shootings by thinking and praying really, really hard.
I mean it's day 139 and there's only been ~152 mass shootings so far this year, so those thoughts and prayers are working hard!

CNN has a headline: "Why are US rappers getting involved in UK politics?"
First thing that leaped to mind: "Because Americans are constitutionally incapable of keeping their noses out of things that don't involve them."

Another sunny weekend, another photo essay on tea.

Silly question, I'm sure, but why do so many American talking heads love to use the /ส/ (the 's' in 'pleasure') when speaking about China? It's Bei/ส/ing for Beijing and President /ส/i for President Xi? The real sounds in IPA are /tษ/ and /ษ/ accordingly but can be better approximated as "bay-jing" and President "she" in English.
Yet everybody wants that weird /ส/ sound, ironically a sound that is PHENOMENALLY DIFFICULT for the Chinese to pronounce.
(Hint: the term is "hyperforeignism".)

The sketch over the "China Expert" had me laughing so hard my colleagues were eyeing me with concern: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GWIgqrUIdI

So this is what it feels like to realize that a pu'er you got when it was 10 years old is now 18 years old because you completely forgot that it existed!
I'd finally run out of a very young compressed tea (jammed into a bamboo tube) and went to my basket for a white tea cake only to realize I had *another* cake of a large-leaf Yunnan tea buried at the bottom of the stack that had been sitting there for 8 years quietly aging.
