6:00AM: 52F, fog/mist. (I heard the fog horns when I got up.)
The NWS is calling for more "unsettled" weather. It was raining pretty hard when we went to bed, but just showers predicted for the next 3 days. Maybe the sun peeks out, then another front is poised for the weekend.
Yep! Definitely October.
6:30AM: 53F, foggy.
Today is predicted to be the most active with this current front, but we've been downgraded from "rain" to "showers."
"Heavy rain" dropped out of the picture quickly.
I'm trying to keep my spirits up but....sigh...Hopefully I'll have better luck with the NEXT system!
A woman in Juneau put her husband in a freezer when he died.
This was discovered after SHE died.
Evidently, she froze him so she could continue getting his SS and PFD checks..
We are getting a new chest freezer tomorrow.
Hubby told me not to get any ideas.
4:00PM: weather update.
Sitka is under a wind advisory from 7PM to 10AM. We are also expected to get 1.5 - 3" of rain with this system. Interestingly, the greatest amount of rain is expected in the central panhandle, ie. Sitka!
6:00AM: 48F, light rain, fog/mist.
October is HERE.
Rain, rain and more rain. 35kt gale tonight out front.
No matter what the weather leading up to this month, I know I can count on rain as far as the eye can see.
October is my happy place. Rain + spooky season = euphoria.
