@quietinchaos I am still friends with the sysop from the BBS that we loved to log into. It was family-friendly and we later figured out that we knew the sysop from the baseball games we attended but not by name. I joke that he is my first Internet friend. I met at least five of the people we chatted with over the years. #BBS #LittleWing

Having 6 children means that you have a built in board game group, ready to play at a moment’s notice.
Having 6 children also means that you have absolutely no time to play board games and even when you do have the time you are so tired you just want to sit and stare at the wall.

He was asking me recently why I know so many stories from the Bible when I'm an #atheist (#stjohnscollege, #greatbooks). He also wondered why I seem to really like some of the stories in the Bible and not others. I explained to him that I love all sorts of stories where people stand up for people who are being hurt, and where people care for each other. I don't believe in the "magical" parts, but I do believe firmly in some of the themes in religious stories. (2/3)

I am, and have always been (or at least from the time I can remember) an #atheist. I informed my mother when I was about 6 years old that I didn't believe in god (she responded "That's nice, but you still need to get ready for mass"). My 11 year old on the other hand seems to have been almost born a #theist. From the time we met him at age 4, he has been fascinated by religion and spirituality. His only real exposure to religion is Judaism at our local JCC. (1/3)

Every few weeks I find myself looking at used RVs on Facebook Marketplace.
And then I imagine my wife, my 6 kids, and me all sleeping in a 200 sq foot space. Once I can fully picture that hellscape I tear myself away from my scrolling.
And then 3 weeks later I am back at it. I'm pretty sure that RVs are not meant for a #bigfamily, or at least not OUR big family.

And then I imagine my wife, my 6 kids, and me all sleeping in a 200 sq foot space. Once I can fully picture that hellscape I tear myself away from my scrolling.
And then 3 weeks later I am back at it. I'm pretty sure that RVs are not meant for a #bigfamily, or at least not OUR big family.
