You really should try Arx Fatalis.
It's a classic, early 2000s dungeon crawler with a cool premise, rich atmosphere, a lot of player freedom and an extremely creative magic system.
Honestly, even though it's not a horror game, I find it has some of the most unsettling atmosphere among RPGs.
