  2. is a great idea! Folks murmur about the mere “potential” for abuse but the kind of people who have been busted for streaming were receiving payment in exchange for their “repackaging.” Veilid doesn’t do that. Plus, online works perfectly and the team has put a lot of effort into integrating a robust mixing userspace and audio mastering functions with the rest of the app. Very cool!

Good thing too because the authorities clearly have something on TP.
Encrypted transport? → network asks what apps (package profiling); what peripherals connected (hardware profiling, if local storage) → so why not the approach where no java exists and only words are read online (that means no streaming)?

Maybe a full-device vpn for mobile like (@torproject) someday? Veilid has XChaCha20-Poly1305 (invented at Illinois) instead of Arti’s AES (-GCM) which makes it faster on ARM / mobile devices. Both use Curve25519 which is purportedly Quantum Resistant (same as industry standard for openssh). cf. Quantum Safe Project. Blake3 is also used in Cargo for Rust checksums. Rust is trendy, likely for good reasons. Argon2 was invented in 2015. New curves on the horizon? Most of the math has been around for a while now. How does the profile look to you?
    * tip: since on Linux and not mobile, cmdline → setcpuid=153, mem_encrypt=on for AES-NI
    * suggestion: Veilid for @postmarket (Aura) environment
