I can't believe it's actually been 21 years (and a couple days) since I first joined #SecondLife, way back on March 23, 2005. 🦊 This virtual world is not without its challenges, of course, but it's still an amazing place (with amazing people) that keeps me coming back over two decades later. #RezDay

Just discovered the phenomenal #Haute&Freddy this afternoon, thanks to @lokieliot playing the group's new song "Dance The Pain Away" during his DJ set at The Vortex club in #SecondLife. Officially obsessed with the music video too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BhJBoSILk4

Apparently I've been living under a rock, because even though I had heard of #HunterSchafer before, I knew almost nothing about her or her career until today. 🏳️⚧️ I love this interview with her: https://youtu.be/NmlKeMyXpCU Just sad to see so many trolls in the comment replies, "correcting" her pronouns. #LGBTQ

And while you're here, make sure to check out the miniature of the SS Galaxy (https://sl-aviation.fandom.com/wiki/SS_Galaxy) that my friend Snowlord made, entirely from prims! Snow also has an exhibit of his own, Primfection, definitely not to be missed: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SLB%20Stupendous/171/70/21 #SL22B #SecondLife

A big thanks to Maxwell Graf for reminding me that I never posted about my #SL22B exhibit! It's a 3D terrain model of Sansara and Heterocera, SL's oldest mainland continents: https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SLB%20Captivate/41/31/21 SLB will be open till July 20, so there's still time to visit. #SecondLife

I had the privilege of attending a sold-out talk by #PeteButtigieg at the Arlington Theatre last night, organized by UC Santa Barbara's Arts & Lectures. Pete was eloquent and inspiring, acknowledging the challenges we face but also offering reasons for hope. ❤️ #UCSB #MayorPete

I have so many #writing projects that I've dreamed about for years but not yet committed to the page. Faced with the unchecked proliferation of AI, I'm almost feeling like I might have missed my chance.
I want to believe that there are still enough people out there who would prefer to read work written by a fellow human, not an LLM. Still, it's more than a little discouraging sometimes, especially for someone who studied Creative Writing as part of their MFA. #CalArts

I joined #SecondLife on March 23, 2005, which means (hard as it is to believe) that I've been a part of this amazing virtual world for twenty whole years now! 😲🦊🎉 Where did all the time go?!?
-
Another year, another #RezDay! 😅😯 I've been in #SecondLife for nineteen years now, and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. 🦊 For all its imperfections, this world is still unmatched in many ways—as both a community and an outlet for creative self-expression.

@lelanicarver Thank you! ^ - ^ And yeah, definitely plan to do more. Time permitting, I would love to make models like this for *all* of the mainland continents.
Until then, feel free to visit my #SL20B exhibit inworld to see some of my smaller #SecondLife terrain models up close: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SLB%20Beguile/156/35/23
I also made a similar video in Blender last year of the largest of those models, showing the 71-region Sakura subcontinent in Bellisseria: https://youtu.be/Y67hXHJUAkQ
