  1. Hi, Mastodon. We're Connected by Puzzles, and we aim to be something more than just a generic jigsaw puzzle site.

On your own you can go up to 10,000 pieces. Our variations are different but still a jigsaw at the core: in Jigsaw Solitaire the pieces are the cards, and in Jig Rummy you meld pieces that join up.

  2. Seven summers after Troy fell, the Trojans were still at sea.

In Sicily, Juno sent Iris in disguise to the weary women, and they set fire to the ships to end the journey. Jupiter sent rain. Four ships were lost.

Claude Lorrain painted it around 1643: the women running along the beach as the first ship starts to smoke.

Every jigsaw has its own seventh summer. Usually it is the sky. The Trojan women's fix is not recommended.

  3. Autumn, the time of the year when everyone is constantly repeating "winter is near".

It's the perfect season to grab a hot cacao and do a jigsaw puzzle. Preferably a real one, on a table. But if that's not possible, we've got you covered.

Here is Autumn Oaks by George Inness, painted around 1878. Oaks in rust red and gold under a dark storm sky, and a few cows grazing in the sunlit meadow below.
