Mein Vault schon mal testweise von #bitwarden zum selfhosted #vaultwarden umgezogen.
War das letzte Stück was ich nicht hosten wollte, aber in this day and age kann man sich wohl auf nix mehr verlassen :/ -
@oscloud asi blbý dotaz. S ohledem na objevující se informace o vývoji v #Bitwarden, začínám hledat info jestli/jak řešit #passwordmanager .
Momentálně používám BW s vlastní registrací, nikoliv na #nexcloud , kam přistupuji pres #oscloud .
Mám si "svůj" BW převést/zmigrovat do toho v #Nextcloud , nebo přejít na jinou aplikaci/poskytovatele (nějaké konkrétní doporučení)?

Not sure if it ticks every box, but AliasVault definitely covers at least a few of those. I believe the server is self hostable (more than Bitwarden there), and the client is available on FDroid. Not sure about clients on other platforms or Firefox extension.
To be honest, until I read that article, I was perfectly happy with Bitwarden. Scrubbing inclusion from your values though, screams willingness to comply with Trump in advance, which is not something I'm prepared to accept, especially in something as sensitive as a password manager.

What #FOSS #selfhosting options should I consider? Requirements are multiplatform clients (iOS, Linux, Firefox extension), self-hosting on Linux, and i guess 2FA support but I'd also prefer a separate 2FA client on iOS that is also FOSS.
Any suggestions?

I have a reasonably large #bitwarden vault. Is there a way to keep my sanity migrating to #keepassxc? Not having to manually transfer stuff (I saw several migration tools saying they don't migrate TOTP, that's not nice) is a large prerequisite for keeping said sanity.

- A new CEO who specializes in "mergers and Acquisitions"
- The phrase "always free" was briefly removed from the product description but has since returned.
- The company motto "GRIT - Gratitude, Responsibility, Inclusion, and Transparency." now reads "Gratitude, Responsibility, Innovation, and Trust."
These small changes put together are making people nervous

Makes for an awkard moment for us at the Digital Justice Society.
We've recently downgraded our rating of Proton Pass, as month on month we we were finding they had become increasingly spammy in their sign up flows.
Now our "Best" options for free non-big-tech Password Managers.. are both Enshitifying.
Bitwarden, ProtonPass; the principal would like to see both of you after class today.

Boom, done.
It took less than an hour to completely replace #Bitwarden with @keepassxc on the desktop. Functionally a drop-in replacement.
It took just a few minutes to completely replace Bitwarden with @kunzisoft #KeePassDX, after syncing the vault across all my devices instantaneous with #Syncthing. A drop-in replacement in every way, right down to the fingerprint unlock.
Should have done it long ago. Sayonara, Greedheads!

Ditching #Bitwarden. Genuine thanks to that crew, but y'all take care, I'm out.
Consensus seems to be @keepassxc #KeePassXC and sync over @syncthing #Syncthing (the latter already a core workflow for all my devices).
What is the consensus on the mobile app? Must be #freesoftware #libresoftware for Android #GrapheneOS @GrapheneOS preferably on @fdroidorg #fdroid
