  1. Shipped a new bit for my tracker today: tap any exercise and you get its whole history.

A progression chart, every time you've done it, all the PRs. I wanted to actually see the climb, not just today's number.

Good timing, because today earned it. Short, brutal push session, no power in the gym so no AC, humidity through the roof. Still walked out with 3 PRs, all on the chest and tricep machines. Exactly the grind-it-out day the history view is built to make feel worth it later.

The whole thing is a read-only log I run for myself, out in the open.

  2. A while back a fitness short stuck with me: if you're not warming up before a workout, maybe you're not doing anything hard enough to need one. Reframed the whole thing for me.

So now I warm up heavy. Five minutes on the elliptical, then a light cable stack, one arm at a time, 50 reps each through every angle: rotations, kickbacks, overhead, single-arm face pulls. Whole upper body lit up before I touch anything heavy. I'm an old guy now, gotta open things up first.

Today was a push day after a four-day gap. Ran on empty, still showed up. Snuck out a small fly PR too.

I log every session, the warmups, the PRs, the rough days, all of it, in public at Sweat Equity:

  3. Arms and legs today, and the legs part is humbling.

My knees are still a mess. Years at a desk plus carrying a lot of weight wrecked them, and for the longest time I just skipped legs entirely. Today's leg extensions were knee-assisted and they still let me hear about it. Realistically I'm six more months from these feeling right.

But the way out is doing more legs, not skipping them. Carefully, until they come back. So I keep showing up for the worst part of the session.

Still put up 270 KG on leg press, which isn't nothing. Slow road, but a road.

I log every session, every PR, and the rough days like this one, in public at Sweat Equity:

  4. Starting something new and doing it out loud.

I built Sweat Equity, a read-only workout log I run for myself. A year back in the gym and I was tired of apps that were bloated or wanted to own my data. So I made my own.

    What's inside:
    - Every session, PR, and current max
    - A journal for the wins, setbacks, and lessons
    - Charts and insights from my own data
    - Installs to your phone like an app

I'll keep logging here and sharing the journey, the good days and the rough ones. If you're into fitness, building in public, or just wanna watch a stranger fix his health one entry at a time, follow along. Always down to chat.
