CW: Dragonkin musings
While I do not identify as a otherkin / therian philosophically, the more I interact with the dragonkin community the more I feel at home. Part of it is the cynicism and misanthropy in me even before my graymuzzle age, although I have my reservations whether being a dragon instead will solve anything (see comics*). Another part is simply it being less naughty (more ace-friendly) than the furry space. Plus, what kind of furry does not want to become their fursona*?

Arguments against reading the rest of Wings of Fire GN/books
- More deus ex machina, nothing really matters
- The 10th GN is not out so I'll have to spend even more time reading it as a book, no thanks to the instant gratification monkey
- My plate is already full
- Remember how messed up your schedule was after hyperfocusing on Re: Hatchling?Arguments for:
- I haven't been hurt by parasocial relationships enough :awesome:
- there be dergs -
Speaking of isekai. Considering the number of otherkins working in tech and art, I wonder if I will ever see an isekai where a major character is a dragon serving as the fantasy-equivalent of either a programmer, a tech support, an open-source contributer, a concept artist, a designer, a researcher, a maintainer, a game dev, or what have you. Bonus if visibly ND.
IIRC the closest we usually get are dragon scholars acting as an encyclopedia. That's just not as fun.

I can't believe my luck -- they are animating another manga with derg goodness. I just discovered this series a month before the announcement.
Would very much recommend this series -- the story always centers around the many goofy dragons that show up in each arc, and they are fleshed out just like any other main character.
