  1. Looking back at April, I am struck by a recurring sentiment: we are standing at a pivotal crossroads in history - a change of era. This requires us to act decisively to save the treasure of human rights law that we risk losing.
Tomorrow at the Meeting of #CouncilOfEurope Foreign Affairs Ministers in Chișinău, our leaders have a very important opportunity to reaffirm core values.

  2. We're just 2 days away from the @coe Ministerial gathering in Chișinău. This will be a very important opportunity for our member states to reaffirm core values:
🔹defend the universality of human rights,
🔹protect the independence of the European Court of #HumanRights #ECHR
🔹stand up for the human rights of the people of #Ukraine, insisting that people, their dignity and human rights, are embedded in every effort towards peace.

  3. I intervened in the #ECtHR case on #Georgia’s Transparency of Foreign Influence Law, lodged by 120 civil society organisations, 16 media outlets and 4 individuals. The law restricts #FreedomOfExpression and #FreedomOfAssociation.

  6. Today marks the 4th anniversary of the killing of journalist My thoughts are with her family during this difficult time. Ongoing investigations should be completed effectively and rapidly to bring those responsible to justice.
