今天9月28日，是中華民國政府確定的 #孔子 聖誕。不過這僅是為了紀念孔子而定，並非孔子真的生於這一天。實際上，就連孔子生年都無法確定，又如何能確定生日？
錢賓四先生在《孔子生年考》中說：「孔子生年，聚訟二千年矣。……若孔子生年……至於詳考確論，不徒不可能，抑且無所用。今謂孔子生前一年或後一年，此僅屬孔子私人之年壽，與世運之升降，史蹟之轉換，人物之進退，學術之流變，無足重輕如毫髮。而後人於此，月之日之，考論不厭其詳。而他學者，如老莊，如楊墨，則人之有無，世之先後，年之夭壽，茫不加察，晦淪終古，是烏足當知人論世之實哉？今所考論，一以確有援據而有關大體者爲斷。至於細節，則略勿致辨，以避勞而且拙之譏。」
