The Enoden hand towel and keychain we got for filling out the survey at the station! This towel is really nice... no idea where we can hang it tho...
-
Also this year they also had a "final" stamp when you get your towel/calendar, the black stamp over the center logo with all seven of the Lucky Gods. おつかれさまです
Now I just need to figure out how and where to display this... hmm...

Out with the snake, in with the horse 🐎
(Unfortunately I don't remember where we got that EXCELLENT snake daruma on the shelf and thus don't have a replacement horse one. But it's fine, Snake Daruma can just live there forever)

Watching a very tiny child (maybe 2yo) slowly waddle up to a display of those small eraser decoration/toys (the kind you're supposed to pack into a bottle to display), stick their little hands inside the erasers, bring up a fistful of them, look at their fist in silent contemplation, stick their hand (with erasers) into their pocket, then waddle back over to their mother who hadn't seen it 😭😭😭
(No I did not narc on that sweet child LOL)

At the station there were these people asking folks to take a survey about the Enoden, and if you do then you can get a present. Daikon got a hand towel and I got a keychain. On the island, I spun a gacha machine twice and got two Enoden pins. We also grabbed this Enoden "conductor's hat" that they were giving out for free
We are so decked out in Enoden stuff now even tho we didn't ride it even once today 😭
(Yes I wore this hat the whole way back to Fujisawa)

I don't handle crowded touristy areas very well but I must admit they are a great way to see some good doggos...
But we have descended the island and are back on the mainland. Goodbye Enoshima, see you next year 👋

We have arrived... now to fight the crowds and get to the top 😭

They have a map on the wall and a case of pushpins nearby so that you can stick a pin in from where you're from. I went to look to see if there is anyone from Hawai'i and found several pins sticking out of Maui, one on Hawai'i island... and NONE from O'ahu 😰
Stuck my pin in, Kailua REPRESENT 😤

Arrived at Katase-Enoshima and walked to Ryūkōji for the stamp 👍

Daikon: *walking through the streets and spinning around in wonder*
Me: What are you doing
Daikon: We hardly ever come this way so I am scanning everything
Me: what
Daikon: Compiling 3D data so I can remember this
Me: oh
Daikon: ......hmm, I don't need that. Deleted
Me:

Took the long way to the station to walk around an area we don't normally go through. Found this very old cigarette vending machine that proudly boasts it accepts the new 500 yen coins (which entered circulation in 1982) and selling packs for ~¥220-240

For the last two stamps we gotta catch the train to the coast. One for Bishamonten at Ryūkōji on the mainland and one for Benten on Enoshima. Then to turn it in and get our cloth calendar 👀
(We already technically got Bishamonten at Shirahata and Benten at Yugyōji but Fujisawa has duplicates, haha)

Walked along the Hikichigawa but it was quite bright so hard to get pics. We saw three good cormorants, two white egrets, a bunch of coots, three mejiro (white eye), some seagulls (relatively uncommon near the coast because of all the hawks lol), and two kingfishers(!!!) diving for food

(TV narrator voice) Previously, on the Fujisawa Seven Lucky Gods stamp rally...
Today is the last day so if we wanna get our Year of the Horse cloth calendar, we gotta hustle
-
Behind Yugyoji is the shrine proper for Benzaiten where you can wash your money for good luck. We end up donating our wet money tho... don't want my wallet getting all mildewy...
-
Third stamp: Benzaiten at Yugyoji. Despite the name, Fujisawa's Seven Lucky Gods stamp rally has nine stamps, so some of these are doubled up. Yugyoji and Enoshima both house Benzaiten lol
-
Wanted to make a pit stop at Fujisawa-juku (the museum/meeting place for the old Tokaido stop) but they're having some kind of drum rehearsal(? event?) in the main room, so just bought some canned coffee and headed up to Yugyoji
Trying not to think of the climate implications of sakura already blooming in mid-January...

First stamp: Bishamonten (god of war) from Shirahata Shrine
Shirahata always has a big wooden ema signboard with Minamoto no Yoshitsune and the zodiac animal (in this case, horses)
