「新しい学びをした自分、偉い!」と考えるようにすることだと思います「自分すごい!」と思ってしまうと実際に経験して生きてきた人たちの話を遮ってしまう傾向になりがちですけど
「自分偉い!」と考えるようにすると続けるモチベーションにつながります大事なのは自分を褒めないことではなく、自分を褒めるとき、軸はどこに置くかだと思います
This is a pretty small difference, but I think when you learn about a minority experience in a demographic to which you belong to the majority,
it's important to think
"Go me! I learned a new thing!
instead of
"I'm amazing! I learned something totally unheard of!"Especially for folks who fall in a lot of majority categories, keeping your motivation high to learn more is a good thing, so it's more than fine to give yourself credit where credit is due
And at the same time, we have to be careful not to speak over others' actual lived experiences just because we're excited and the information is new to usIt's a difference of where the internal praise is coming from, I think
