I might have discovered a new comfort watch while trying to figure out how to fix my tired ass flower bed. Her voice is soothing and her flowers are beautiful.

Some successes this season: Alpenglow zinnia, a cross pollinated cosmos with a cupcake cosmos, Sangria Celosia and some strawflowers (not fully opened though).

#OTD Johann Zinn, #German Anatomist and #Botanist. He died young (at 32 - tuberculosis) but left his mark on two areas of #Science: #HumanAnatomy & #Botany.His #Eye #Anatomy book first described the #Iris. Many eye parts are named for him.
At 26, he led the #University #BotanicGarden in #Göttingen (pronounced "Gert-ing-en"). He got some #Seeds from #Mexico, which yielded #Amazing #Blossoms. Linnaeus named the #Flower #Zinnia - but the #Aztecs called it #EvilEye.
