Had a wild game of YAPYAP this morning to start off the week 🧙♂️
YAPYAP is a co-op game where you play as wizard's minions, going on nightly quests to mess up a rival wizard's castle. The central mechanic of the game is casting spells - you say a spell into your microphone, and that triggers spells in game based on the type of wand you have (different wands have different spells, etc.).
So, the boys and I were squeezing in a YAPYAP session before school today.
Casually chatting with them on a stairwell
Mic misheard something I said, and I accidentally cast a spell that killed them both.
Yesterday, we figured out how to cast a resurrection spell with a special wand, but had only ever used it on one player before.
So I dragged their bodies to a clear spot, piled them on top of each other, pulled out the special wand, cast the resurrection spell
AND IT WORKED
They both popped up, fully recharged, ready to go wreck some more stuff
Just a totally unique experience
Only in video games, man
