  1. The Selt match being the last to finish, in a black ball decider, is a bit too on the nose, innit, dear screenwriter? #JudgementDay #snooker #WorldChampionshipQualifiers

  2. Slessor-Zhao, an incredible match - from *both* players. A shame someone had to lose. #snooker #WorldChampionshipQualifiers #JudgementDay

  3. Another 5/8, after session 1 (2-7) who would have thought that Day-Donaldson would still go all the way? 😂
Fitting end to Robertson’s horror season, but a World Championship without him is still a loss, though. He’s the Roger Federer of snooker, his technique and style are a joy to watch.
Another day, another missed pink to go 9-7! I will miss Saengkham at the Crucible, but if Page can keep his form, he will mean trouble for any opponent as well.

  4. Whoops, forgot today’s predictions for #Judgment Day:
    Jamie Jones-Robertson: 6-10

    Cao-Pang 10-7
    Page-Saengkham 8-10
    Si-Wu 10-8
    Xiao-Gilbert 7-10
    Donaldson-Day 9-10

  5. Well, I’ve got 5/8 not wrong 😏
Heathcote will dream of that pink tonight. Maguire looked impressive, Lisowski as well. And Dominic Dale fell over the line eventually, how great is that? 😍 Great first #JudgementDay. #snooker #WorldChampionshipQualifiers

  6. Match 8 (last one for today): Lyu-Kendrick. End of the road for Jenson Kendrick here, who had a surprising run so far. But this should be a quick one. 10-4.

    Can’t wait, bring it on! #JudgementDay #snooker #WorldChampionshipQualifiers

  7. Match 6: Heathcote-Bingham. Which Bingham will show up? The one from the first session (very much the one from the whole season), or the one from the second session of his match against Carrington? As much as I adore Bingham’s style and resilience, I’ll go with the youngster here: 10-6. Just because.

Match 7: Williams-Wakelin. Feel indifferent towards both of them, I have to admit. Wakelin wins 10-6.

  8. Match 4: Zhou-Jak Jones. Well, if history gives any indication, it doesn’t bode well for Zhou, does it? ;) I don’t care, though, I *want* him to win, and so he does: 10-5.

Match 5: Maguire-Yuan. Can’t make head or tail of both of them. Maguire showed at least glimpses of old form this season, and in form he still is incredible (at times). He’ll make it to the Crucible: 10-8.

  9. Match 2: Walden-Davis. Both of them have had a rather unremarkable season, so this might be a much closer match than their seeding (32 vs 64) might imply. I’ll go with Walden (sorry @SnookerPRO), another 10-8.
Match 3: Dale-He. The young chinese is on a remarkable run, ousted McGill in Q3. Still, it’s the Spaceman, I cannot help it – fanboy alert! – GO DOMINIC! 10-7! #snooker #WorldChampionshipQualifiers #JudgementDay

  10. I have to admit, up until the #WorldChampionshipQualifiers I haven’t noticed Jiang Jun at all. Looking forward to watching him play on Judgment Day. #snooker

  11. Maximum in the first frame of the session, respotted black in the second. Think I’ll stay with this table for a while :) #Saengkham #Hicks #snooker #WorldChampionshipQualifiers

  15. I could be wrong, but: after the split (from the fourth black) he screwed back from a red to the middle to the black, when (I think) it would have been a lot easier to just follow through for position on the blue. So I think he went for the maximum right from the start, full blooded. Wonderful break. #snooker #WorldChampionshipQualifiers

  16. 147 by Noppon Saengkham! (Of course I followed the "wrong" table – now rewatching on the Discovery+ stream) #snooker #WorldChampionshipQualifiers

  17. Big scalp for Heathcote on a day without surprises (if you ignore Bingham’s near accident). Zapped through some frames: has Kleckers sped up his game? At 5-7 it looked like we might have a match.
Maguire is a mystery bag to me. At 5-6 he was really mad at himself, didn’t seem confident in his cue action. Hugill almost stole the frame, but lost position on the penultimate red. After that Maguire played some excellent (difficult) shots, so … 🤷‍♂️ #snooker #WorldChampionshipQualifiers

  18. Some quite unexpected results. Burden and Davis through, also didn’t see McDonnell lose to Ma Hailong or Jenson Kendrick win yet another match. Also: nice comeback win for Ben Mertens against Rod Lawler by taking the last three frames. Biggest surprise to me: McGill out. #snooker #WorldChampionshipQualifiers
