“Sherlock Holmes” (1916) stars American actor, playwright and stage manager William Gillette. He became world famous for his re-interpretation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes, who he portrayed on stage & on screen for a total of 32 non consecutive years and over 1,000 live performances.
