  1. It niggles me that the #Babylonians, who used base 60, divided a circle into 360 degrees, not 60 (like the minutes of a clock face) or 3600. It seems untidy.

So I'm wondering whether what they were actually dividing up, into 60 parts, was one of the angles of an equilateral triangle: the simplest angle to construct.

Six of those fit nicely and satisfyingly inside a circle, so that's the obvious next step and gets you your 360°.

A hare, a farmer with a sickle gathering crops, a child(?) petting or feeding a sheep/goat(?)
Possibly lots of fertility symbolism. Maybe it belonged to a farmer; or a mother who imagined that she had benefitted at some time through magic. Are they snakes or ribbons on the middle section?
I wonder what's on the other side?
    #WildSpeculation is fun :-)

  3. I wonder if #DeepSeek is why I had to block most Chinese data center IP addresses from accessing the inkscape website.

If so, it's one hell of an aggressive bastard, practically assuming everyone is on a cloud instance and hammering your nginx with thousand of queries a second.

Yes, I know #ConspiracyTheory with no proof. #WildSpeculation with no correlation. Let alone causation.

But someone's been hammering websites with filter evading signatures.
