Maintaining a #WhisperNetwork to keep colleagues & students safe because #academia STILL fails to hold harassers accountable = so much lost time that could otherwise go to my research & research collaborations + extreme bitterness toward a very broken system. But -- no regrets.

I sincerely hope those who come after me have fewer hidden explosives to navigate & can focus on their work.... We just want to be scientists!! 😞

Being glad that an established #WhisperNetwork exists feels like being glad that there's a network of food banks in this developed country.

There should be no fucking need for it.

Listening to the ever wonderful Naga on #bbc5live . Mp Charlotte Nichols saying that when she first came to westminster (very recently), she was sat down and handed a list of about 40 mps she's not safe to be alone with, not in a lift alone with, not to accept a drink from, cross party. She says there's a well established #whispernetwork in Westminster to help women navigate life as an mp without assault. What the actual. #ukpol #politics
