Because it hasn't happened yet, their father-in-law doesn't believe ICE will be a problem in their lives.
All it takes is one racist asshole making a phone call.

I found out that my nephew's wife is getting her US citizenship and I am severely conflicted about what I should say to her.
Maybe "congratulations" but with a question mark?

Who would have thought the way to re-litigate the outcome of the Civil War was to switch political affiliations en masse to a party more amenable to corruption, misogyny and racism?*
Sounds simple now that we've seen it applied.
* I do realize the Democratic party has had their share of liars, cheats and scoundrels but post-civil war, they seemed more common in their criminality; not driven by ideology.

#Republicans are playing a #deadly game with no #rules, #limits, #ethics, #commonsense, #morailty or #decency. ALL of them, with the exception of a tiny handful, go along.
Repeatedly, the #GOP has shown it will use any tool at its disposal, including State sponsored #terrorism, threatening the #health, #safety, and basic human #rights of Americans, and against #democracy.
Democrats mostly wring their hands, make jokes, call names and post insults on the dead bird site.
