    Today, I have this excellent #Altbier from the famous #Weiherer brewery, that has been awarded several times for their #craftbeer variations.

    Usually, Alt is brewed in the area of Düsseldorf in the west of the country, but this one comes from #Bamberg, #Franconia.

    Well, *that* is a cracker -- the #Weiherer #IPA from #Bamberg is the darkest and maltiest IPA I've ever tried.

    No wonder, it has been internationally awarded multiple times.

    Moderately hopped, with a slightly sweet note.

    6.7% alc., rating 8.7/10.

    A friend brought some #beers back to #Rhineland from a trip to #Frankonia.

    The first one I am tasting is a great #Weiherer Summer #Ale by #Kundmueller brewery close to #Bamberg.

    5.2% Alk., refreshing light hop flavor, rating 8.5/10.
