My work "Biotapestries", shown at the exhibition Phototropic, were meant as prototypes for #biobased material systems. On a more symbolic level, the two frames contain textiles woven on two radically different scales - a coarse, macroscopic one, weaving thick sisal rope upon instructions from a computer; and a microscopic one, produced by a SCOBY culture to seal itself off from the outside world.
Different manufacturers, not so different motivations.
