I could have strayed, and I still long to stray from what the world is becoming. From what the world is carving out for us. I could have strayed, and I still desire to stray while leaving trails of rage, of discontent, of resistance, of disdain. Whether my rage creates a dent in this system is not the point.

The point is to hold on the very weight that makes me human – the complete disgust to where humanity is headed. The point is I want to use this single-life contract handed to me in this manner. Any less would be a waste.

Social contracts. Manufactured desires. Illusion of choice. Rules and laws. Everything is designed to create a uni-verse, when we could be designing pluri-verses of what humanity can be like.

Sustainability that stands on stolen lands. Modernity that stands on stolen data. Development that stands on deforested lands. A livable future that only supports certain types of lives, all because the majority of us are the margins that break the tidal waves of reality.

There should be pluri-verses of womanhood, yet we are still told the same old lie; and we keep signing up for it anyway.
