An amazing scene, and made even more so by the way that nobody seems to be making any kind of connection with the others, save maybe the lady standing at the top in the bay window, who, could, hopefully, and thrillingly, be trying to find a stitch that the lady in the wing armchair has dropped.

CW: WW2 Desertwar Art
There is a lot of quite interesting #art on the servers of the #militaryhistory museums. Not just by the officially appointed #warartists, but also by (more or less, I am no judge of this) talented amateurs. One painting that has always fascinated me is this by Brigadier Davy, painted in 1973, reliving his desert experience.
