#askfedi #askmastodon If we have any #virtualdub users here, I've never been able to get anything captured - I set the audio & video codecs, pick the right inputs , and then every time I do Capture or Test, I always get "this format is incompatible with .avi container" ? Card is a Hauppauge HVR-950q USB, Windows 10. #videocapturecard #videocapture

There's a video file on my computer that's heavily corrupted and doesn't play all the way through even in #VLC, and I'll occasionally try to fix it by various means (tried Media Encoder, Pazera's #ffmpeg copy, and VLC's converter before, for example), but this time I tried #VirtualDub's hex editor, and there's nothing, nothing there at all after 0x3ffff0.
