Pré-requis non négociable : je veux du libre ! Pas la première appli qui tombe quand on fait une recherche dans le store (ça, je sais faire toute seule ^^). Parce que je fais une MeJ sur le libre, et ce serait contre-productif d'utiliser des outils non libres pour faire cette MeJ.

So, I wanted to do a Linux install on hardware instead of a VM, but the text when the system boots up (in console mode, no gui yet) is so small on the capture that you can't read it. How do other #creators handle this, I see hardware captures in videos that look great in text mode. I believe the installer is detecting the capture card as 1080p so the text is tiny. #VideoCapture #Video #CaptureCards I am using the AverMedia ExtremeCap UVC and #OBS

AVerMedia LiveGamer Portable 2 Plus - tested on Linux and Windows. I am very disappointed by the video quality. 4:2:0 chroma subsampling, and bad compression artifacts further diminishing the quality and color. Hardware encoder creates MOV files that are incorrectly encoded and produce decompression glitches in fast movement (AVIdemux throws warnings). Computer capture is not much better, as it's bound to bad quality MJPEG video transfer over USB 2.0.
