    CW: 如何安装虚拟机软件 VirtualBox ， 问题及解决方法 2/2

    5、不能使用主机与虚拟机的共享文件夹。
    A、在主机设置一个共享文件夹， 例如名字叫做“share”， 不能使用中文文件夹名字， 会出错。
    /home/UserName/share/

    B1、在主机， 打开 VirtualBox， 设置某个虚拟机系统的共享文件夹：
    →Shared Folders,
    →点击绿色的“+”号（Add new shared folder），
    →Folder Path（点击下拉选择，例如：刚才设置的共享文件夹：/home/UserName/share/）,
    →Folder Name（会自动填写为 “share”）,
    →Mount Point（手工输入： /mnt/share, 虚拟机操作系统内的登录节点）,
    →Auto-mount（勾选）,
    →OK（点击），
    →OK（另一个， 在最下方，点击）

    B2、重新登录虚拟机操作系统，就可以看到共享文件夹（/mnt/share）的内容。

    B3、有些虚拟机操作系统： Linux OS， 需要在虚拟机操作系统内， 执行以下命令：
    $ sudo usermod -a -G vboxsf UserName
    $ sudo chown -R UserName:users /mnt/share
    $ sudo reboot
    这里的“UserName”， 为虚拟机操作系统的管理员（admin）账号。

    B4、重新登录虚拟机操作系统，就可以看到共享文件夹（/mnt/share， 即 /home/UserName/share ）的内容。

    6、某些特殊的虚拟机操作系统： Linux OS, 不能复制、粘贴到主机。
    在虚拟机操作系统内， 根据不同 Linux OS, 执行以下命令：
    A、
    增加两行命令到 “startup”， 保存， 然后重启虚拟机操作系统。
    $ sudo nano /home/UserName/.desktop-session/startup

    VBoxClient --clipboard &
    VBoxClient --draganddrop &

    或者B、
    增加两行命令到 “/home/UserName/.profile”， 保存， 然后重启虚拟机操作系统。
    $ sudo nano /home/UserName/.profile

    VBoxClient --clipboard &
    VBoxClient --draganddrop &

    Debian-12 家族的某个 Linux 发行版，复制、粘贴到主机，
    Default Xsession: OK
    Xfce Session: NG

    Debian-13 家族的同一个 Linux 发行版， 已经解决了这个问题。
    Default Xsession: OK
    Xfce Session: OK

    一个 Linux 发行版， 如果不能复制、粘贴到到主机， 可以尝试选择不同的桌面（gnome, kde, mate, xfce 等）。

    7、如果安装了多个虚拟机操作系统， 在某个虚拟机操作系统内， 更新了扩展包 VirtualBox-extpack（Guest Additional CD image），
    关闭之前， 要卸载 Guest Additional CD image，
    否则其他虚拟机操作系统，就不能更新扩展包 VirtualBox-extpack（Guest Additional CD image）。

    8、Virtual Media Manager 不见了。
    VirtualBox 开始界面， 顶部第一行：
    →File,
    →Preferences（点击）,
    →Basic / Expert, 选择 Expert , 点击右下角的"OK",

    →File,
    →Tools,
    →Media（可以看到 “Media” 等7个选项。如果选择了"Basic", 就不会显示 “Media”、“NetWork” 这两个选项。 ）

    鄙人， 手误选择了 “Basic”, 并且点击了"OK", 后来找不到 “Media” 选项。
    反复安装 VirtualBox 7.2.12，VirtualBox 7.2.14，
    电脑管理员（admin）用户， 可以看到 "Media" 这个选项，
    但是电脑普通用户（user）, 看不到 “Media” 这个选项。

    不知道原因， 已经放弃了。
    仍然不死心， 搜索了一下关键词： "virtualbox Media disappear"，
    第一个结果， 就是正确答案。
    鄙人归因错误， 以为是 VirtualBox 软件在电脑普通用户账号上出了问题， 这一点不合逻辑。
    实际原因就是： 鄙人在电脑普通用户账号， 使用 VirtualBox, 自己选择了 “Basic” 这个模式， 导致 VirtualBox 不显示 “Media” 这个选项。

    9、有时， 虚拟机软件 VirtualBox 升级后， 不能使用， 可以考虑降级， 重新安装旧版本。
    所以， 新版本安装后， 不要急于删除旧软件。

    如果没有特殊需求， 虚拟机软件 VirtualBox 不必经常更新， 能用就好。
    每一次更新， 都有可能遇到问题。
    如果有时间， 愿意折腾， 上山下海，上天入地，寻找答案， 确实可以提高技能。
    因为这次逃避、忽略的问题， 下次可能又会遇到。

    警告：
    虚拟机软件 VirtualBox, 不是万能灵丹妙药。
    如果主机安装了支那（ ChiNa/SiNa ） 软件， 例如：QQ, Weixin, Wechat, Sogou, Douyin, TikTok 之类， 虚拟机也不能保护您。

    珍惜生命， 远离支那软件。

    Tested BashCoreV in a real‑world CTF setup:

    installed OpenCode via SSH from BashCore, then used the tiny ~100 MB micro‑VM to capture a flag on a Windows 10 machine running XAMPP (firewall and Defender fully active).

    Everything worked flawlessly.

    A pleasant change with FreeBSD-16.0-CURRENT-amd64-20260713-60382b4a04fa-287406-disc1.iso

    ― it seems that hw.efi.poweroff is no longer preset to 1.

    Two related bug reports:

    — #22021 (FreeBSD VM with EFI: "poweroff" fails) – Oracle VirtualBox — <virtualbox.org/ticket/22021>

    — 277450 – "poweroff" does not power off the system when EFI is used — <bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show>.

    I can not find an explanation in the src tree: <cgit.freebsd.org/src/log/?qt=g>.

    Postscript: I can not find an explanation because I had accidentally booted a previous installation of CURRENT (not FreeBSD Installer).

    hw.efi.poweroff is still 1 by default.

    Assigned OpenCode (running natively on my BashCore OS) a full CTF mission using only BourneCore (my minimal illumos/OpenIndiana Unix live system) and its tools via SSH.

    No GUI, no browser, just pure CLI.

    BourneCore handled port‑knocking, SSH, RCE, privesc and full flag capture. All from a tiny VM (2 cores, 2GB RAM).

    Two different OS working together as one solid cross‑platform lab.

    Ich musste in #virtualbox von "NAT" auf"Netzwerkbrücke" umstellen, jezt wird der Drucker auch erkannt, leider Druckt er immer noch nicht, der Treiber scheint einen Fehler zu haben.

    Habe dann zum testen #linuxmint lmde-7 (Debian Version) als VM installiert (Netzwerbrücke selektiert) und den Treiber von Brother als "DEB" heruntergeladen und installiert.

    Siehe da, Drucker und Scanner funktionieren. 🤩

    Aber ich wollte ja ein neues OS mit Rolling Release.

    ➡️ Also suche ich ein Linux OS (Rolling Release) welches den Brother Treiber entweder als "DEB" oder "rpm" installieren lässt. Nach meiner Erkenntnis fallen "Arch" basierende Distros aus.

    @oxy I enjoyed a killing on Kubuntu 26.04 a day or so ago.

    IIRC free memory and swap were nearly exhausted (unrelated to ARC) due to VirtualBox throwing a wobbly with a FreeBSD guest, following a disrupted connection to an old mobile hard disk drive on USB, which I use (with OpenZFS) to store the virtual hard disks for many of my test machines.

    I feared that Firefox would be killed.

    Happily: Linux made VirtualBox, which was not responding, the victim.
